Collaboration

CCSP is built on a simple idea: defenders go further together than alone. The coalition exists so members can help one another make better decisions, pay fair prices, and avoid learning every lesson the hard way. This page lays out what that collaboration looks like in practice.

The goal of the movement

Pricing transparency

Members share what they actually pay for security products, cloud services, tooling, insurance, and managed providers, so everyone can see whether they are being gouged before they sign or renew.

Collective buying power

When members negotiate as a coalition instead of alone, vendors take notice. We approach providers as a bloc to secure member pricing that an individual organization could not reach on its own.

Shared expertise

Tap practitioners who have deployed the tools you are evaluating. Learn what worked, what failed, and why one product is the right fit over another for a given environment before you spend.

Faster decisions

Replace weeks of vendor demos and guesswork with peer answers from people who already run the stack in production, cutting evaluation time and costly missteps.

No member pays in the dark

Security budgets are opaque by design. Providers quote different prices to different buyers, and most organizations have no way to know whether the number in front of them is fair, inflated, or a renewal trap. The coalition fixes that by making pricing a shared, member-visible resource.

Members contribute what they pay, anonymously if they prefer, across the categories that drive security spend. Before a purchase or renewal, you can check what peers in similar environments are paying and walk into the negotiation with real numbers instead of a vendor's list price.

Security tooling

  • EDR and XDR platforms
  • SIEM and log management
  • Email and web security
  • Vulnerability management

Cloud and infrastructure

  • Cloud compute and storage
  • Backup and disaster recovery
  • Identity and access management
  • Network and DNS filtering

Services and risk

  • Managed detection (MDR)
  • Penetration testing and audits
  • Cyber insurance premiums
  • Legal and incident response retainers

Stronger pricing, together

Individual organizations buy from a position of weakness. A coalition buys from a position of leverage. As membership grows, so does the value we represent to a vendor, and that gives the community real negotiating power.

Member-only pricing

We approach trusted vendors as a bloc to negotiate discounts and terms reserved for CCSP members, so a small organization can access pricing usually reserved for large enterprises.

Group buying power

When members consolidate demand for a tool or service, the coalition can secure volume-based rates and pass those savings straight back to the community.

Renewal protection

Vendors count on switching costs to push renewals through. With peer price data and alternative recommendations on hand, members can push back, renegotiate, or move without overpaying to stay.

Smarter stack decisions

Knowing what peers pay for comparable capability lets you right size your stack, avoiding both underpowered tools and premium products you will never fully use.

Expertise on tap

Pricing is only half the value. The other half is knowing which tool to choose in the first place, and why. The coalition pools experience across disciplines and technology stacks so members can learn from deployments that have already happened instead of trial and error.

Real-world fit, not marketing

Hear from practitioners who run a tool in production, not a sales deck. Members share how a product performs under their load, their budget tier, and their compliance obligations, so you can judge fit for your environment.

Why one tool over another

Two products may look identical on paper. Members explain the tradeoffs that decided it, integration friction, staffing required, total cost of ownership, and the breaking points they hit, so you choose with context.

Avoid expensive mistakes

Before you commit budget, ask the coalition. Someone has likely already tried the path you are on and can flag the hidden costs, renewal traps, and configurations that quietly erode value.

Stack-specific guidance

Whether you are Microsoft-heavy, AWS-native, or running a mixed on-prem environment, find members with the same stack who can shortcut your research with tested, specific answers.

Collaboration only works when you are part of it.
